The Role: In this position, you will lead our New Business Development team to drive revenue growth through development of prospects (college admissions officials), cultivation of these relationships, and subsequent sales of Cappex suite of student recruiting solutions. Up to 25 % travel required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing strategies to drive new business results in the College Admissions Space.
  • Leading an energetic, talented growing sales team, taking ownership of sales team results.
  • Developing and cultivating strong relationships with prospects and mentoring the team to do the same.
  • Ensuring outstanding follow through.
  • Working with the team to sell a package of student recruiting solutions to College Admissions Officers including our core product which drives student interest to colleges.
  • Serving as an expert resource for team members, assisting them with demonstrations and deal closing discussions.
  • Using Salesforce.com as a valuable resource to manage team pipeline activity.
  • Ensuring outstanding follow through and cultivation of strong relationships with current accounts to maximize renewals.

Requirements:

  • 5-7   years successful sales track record developing new business, including leadership experience managing a team
  • Bachelor's degree to effectively represent Cappex with college administrators
  • Excellent coaching and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding written communication skills
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with the desire to grow a business very aggressively
  • The desire to be a partner in growth, not just an employee
  • 25% travel required
  • Excellent organizational skills to efficiently manage the team's flow of prospects
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Salesforce.com a strong plus
